Advanced BC Dental Diagnostics is the only cone-beam CT imaging service in British Columbia operating in compliance with the Position Statement of the Canadian Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology as published in the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association. Every scan has the exposure parameters determined by a fully trained graduate of an accredited post-graduate Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology program to ensure that optimal imaging and patient exposure is maintained. A report of significant findings for the entire scanned region is included at no extra cost for every scan performed. Identification of the mandibular canal on hard or soft copy is also included.

Use of cone-beam imaging for implant planning and impacted teeth provides valuable information to allow faster and more accurate treatment. The medicolegal requirement for full interpretation of the entire scanned volume is not passed on to the referring dentist thus allowing better use of the referring dentist’s valuable time.
